Who Loves Their Accident Attorney

I’m Rahlita Thornton with the Thornton Esquire Law Group, PLLC. Yesterday, I had an opportunity to speak to a potential new client, and she mentioned that she had seen my reviews and that she was very impressed. She also said that she really wanted me to handle her legal matter.

How I Relate to My Clients

Of course, I was humbled, but at the same time, I told her that I believe that it’s because when I talk to a client, we start off as strangers, and then we end up having something in common and start talking about everything else in the world.

An Example from Years Ago

I gave her an example of one of my clients, someone who had fibromyalgia. That was years ago. I started talking to her about smoothies and I suggested that she might want to try some of that and go in that direction. At the time, I was a health fanatic, and I still am. But back then, I was definitely drinking more smoothies.

My client tried some of my tips about turmeric and other supplements and various different things that I had learned about. I’m not telling anybody that this is going to cure their fibromyalgia though.

But I talked to that client about her condition and talked about recipes and different things. So, whenever we would talk about her case, I was also on the phone with her for like 30 minutes talking about smoothies and different things.

That was a connection we made, and so that stranger eventually became a friend. I consider her a friend, and more than just a client or a past client. And I think she considers me a friend as well.

How I Approach Things

Of course, that’s not the case with every client that I come into contact with, but it does happen with a lot of my clients. They have a feeling that I’m there for them. I’m down to earth. That’s how I approach things.

And that was the conversation that I had yesterday with the potential new client. And I believe she is going to be a client, based on our conversation, the reviews and just her experience with me yesterday.

I’m so happy to be able to help the community with their legal issues, and to be more than just an attorney in the community. And so I was humbled by her mention of the reviews and feeling connected to me before she even called me.

A Down-to-Earth Attorney

I would say that this is probably accurate, but I’m a humble person, and I try to be down to earth when I deal with people and with my clients. Of course, I also take care of their legal issues because I try to stay on top of that.

I am an attorney first, but I still am humbled and try to be down to earth and try to explain things to clients in a way that they can understand and that they can relate to. So that is how my personality is: sometimes more gregarious, and sometimes more serious.
